In agricolture, irrigationis the most expensive activity, especially when mobile irrigation systems are used. It is also vital for the crop health and quality. As many farmers know, average irrigation control units usually use and apply some plans pre-set at the beguinning of the season, based on the weather series (which are now totally unreliable). We have worked with farmers and research organizations to develop a reliable solution, accessible and affordable to everyone.

Ploovium stems from the desire to create a reliable preventive planning tool, within everyone’s reach, affordable and easy to use.
Plans are not to be entered manually, they are generated and updated automatically by the software, taking into account at all times the history of the crop, the sensor data (one per zone) and the weather forecast geolocated on the farm.
This is possible because Ploovium is based on: a set of technologies of Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Management, detection sensors and mechanical actuators. This set is enriched by an “ontological knowledge” specific to the agricultural sector, and by the constant updating of Ploovium in relation also to the geolocated weather forecast.
Thanks to the sum of all these elements, processed and analyzed in real time, Ploovium can predict with an accuracy normally above 99%, the water behavior of each field for the next 5 days, updating the data every hour. And all this at costs that are affordable even for small businesses.
Maximum customization of calculations.
Ploovium is unique, not just for each company but for each zone and for the life of that specific crop. Once activated, in a few days Ploovium learns to know the water footprint of each area, with the crop present at that time (or without crop, in the periods before sowing), it analyzes the phenological phases, and constantly detects the hydric balance of that soil.
A customization which, added to a very precise geolocation of the field, along with personalized weather forecasts, becomes the precious knowledge that allows Ploovium to know the current situation, foresee future conditions and put into practice the best solutions to maximize yields and minimize risks and costs.
